NAACM began as a once per year Winter event in 2013, as a notion that our community needed a Native American venue where local artists and crafters could come together to share their arts, crafts, tribal backgrounds, as well as create this opportunity for event goers to purchase their arts and crafts. So, thirteen of our Native American community friends gathered for the first time to start this journey.

Today, NAACM has grown into a monthly event on the First Sunday of the month at the Farmers Market Pavilion in downtown Eugene, Oregon. A few years into our journey, it became apparent that we needed to start following the 1990 Indian Arts & Crafts Act, which meant NAACM artists & crafters who wished to participate in our Native American Arts & Crafts events, needed to apply through and application process to declare that their arts & crafts were made by themselves as artisans of Native American heritage or enrolled tribal members. Authentically made Native American arts & crafts makes our events unique. We transform the Pavilion into a gallery of Fine Art, beadwork, Navajo made jewelry, crafts, beautiful wood carvings, and more.
